Synopsis
As digital technologies are pouring out on the shores of social sciences and humanities, they are bringing about promises of change and improvement.
However, despite impressive progress in democratizing content and facilitating research, the potential of computers remains largely underdeveloped. As such, these waters are full of opportunities for audacious and creative people.
DHShowcase is an informal space where digital humanities students and researchers are invited to share their ingenuity, and reinvent the way we study and enjoy social sciences and humanities.
Format
In this 2014 edition, DHShowcase invites you to make a poster and present your research in 5 minutes (followed with a short question period). After a blitz of presentations, participants will be invited to discuss posters with snacks and beverages.
DHShowcase will be held in UQAM, Montréal (Room DS-R510), on Friday, January 24, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
